ABUJA/ Atiku Unit-to-Unit campaign group join well-meaning Nigerians in condemning the draconian, obnoxious and controversial Executive Order (EO6) which was signed by President Buhari banning some high profile Nigerians from traveling abroad.
Statement signed by the National Coordinator Hon. Ogidi Ben Bara, OBB said, the highhandedness has not only undermines the fundamental rights of Nigerians, 2019 general election but has also put our democracy under extremely threat.
The executive order is fierce, subjective and it violates the principles of rule of law and all tenets of constitutional social equality and freedoms of Nigerians.
Any law or Executive orders that does not conform to the Nigerians constitution, separation of power, due process, citizens’ rights and the rule of law must be resisted by well-meaning Nigerians. Therefore, we are calling on well-meaning Nigerians, the judiciary, civil society organizations and the international communities to rise and defend Nigeria democracy.
Atiku Unit-to-Unit campaign group have come to released that ever since Atiku emerges as PDP presidential standard flag bearer, the ruling party is losing sleep, doing everything possible to injects fears into Nigerians creating obnoxious laws and embarking on malicious propaganda against Atiku and his supporters.
If APC is not afraid of Atiku candidateship, one would wonder why the Presidency embarked on witch-hunting Atiku’s loyalist and supporters just a week after his nomination as a PDP flag bearer. The Buhari’s travelled ban infringes on the principle of separation of powers, the 1999 Constitution, usurp the functions of a court of law and the National Assembly that has already promulgated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Related Commission, and the Money Laundering Acts; all of which allow for interim forfeiture and attachment of citizens’ money and properties, but with an order of a court of law.
This has exposed the desperation of the APC led federal government as they knew that Nigerians are tied of their styled of leadership.
We therefore called on Nigerians to key into Atiku initiatives and support his candidature in 2019 because, he is a trusted politician, a tested democrat who believes in the rule of law, separation of power, and dignity of the human person.
The relentless positive impact of Atiku Abubakar not only in Nigerian but Africa in the area of economic, education, and politics is unquestionable, this astute and resourceful politician has distinguished himself in all assignments given to him. He has being applauded by great Nigerian leaders, international communities and civil society organizations among others.
Atiku Abubakar who has being an employer of labour, has proven to be exceedingly responsive to peace and developmental issues and always passionate on humanitarian issues most especially matters that bothers the underprivileged and the vulnerable in the society.
Atiku Unit-to-unit campaign group urges Nigerians not to relent in the face of adversity but to be steadfast and peace makers in all their endeavors and to support Atiku/Obi candidature.
