SAGBAMA LOCAL GOVERNMENT PDP CHAIRMANSHIP PRIMARIES ‘ THE ARGUMENT IN FAVOUR OF THE #CREEK

    8

TRACKING >>is a pointer fact that Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa state is geographically cited in two categories as ‘ People from the Creeks’ and People from the Upland communities. It will interest one to know that while the Upland had been on dominant in terms of the Chairmanship position from 1999 to date, their brothers in the Creeks had been on the left over( not considered ).

History had it that the creek communities which occupy the most populace of voters in the area were only privileged in 2003 when Mr Edure Banabas from Oyiakiri(clan creeks) spent barely two years in office and after the Upland ruled from 1999 to 2003. One will be touched to know that since the exit of Mr Banabas Edure as Council Boss far back 2003, the dominance by people from Upland communities continued and with this time, having the Chairman, vice and political secretary in council and thereby leaving the people from the creeks out of the share till date even as the council Chairman incubent, vice chairperson incubent and political secretary all hails from the upland communities.

It is on this note that the youths of Mein creeks and Oyiakiri creeks with few creekside communities from Elemebiri, Asamabiri, Aduku extraction unanimously resolved on pleading with His Excellency Gov Seriake Dickson, the leadership of PDP Bayelsa state and the revered PDP delegates ahead of the primaries to hearken unto their cries with the choice of a man who is educationally qualified , morally qualified, capacity endowed, humbly served , practically tested and trusted to deliver and bring good governance closer to the common people in both the creeks and upland communities and he is Comr. Okosikeme Emmanuel

The time is now and PDP we know .
