‘We need continuity in Ekiti’

The Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum, chaired by Asiwaju George Akosile, has stressed the need for continuity in the fountain of knowledge.
Rising from its meeting at Igbara-Odo Ekiti, the Forum reviewed the activities of APC campaign groups and praised them for their strong commitment to the success of the governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, in Saturday’s election.
A statement by Akosile and Secretary, Babatunde Odetola, appealed to the APC family to remain dedicated, committed, loyal and hardworking to achieve the objective of continuity in the governance of Ekiti State.
The forum lamented the effects of periodic setbacks caused by change of government, which brings retrogression and lack of consistent economic development in Ekiti State.
It said: “We should now embrace entirely continuity which has put Lagos State ahead in development among all the states in Nigeria.
“This is a time for all of us to work hard for the realisation of the continuity agenda which, by the grace of God, will put us in the right trajectory with the Federal Government. We believe that by hard work and the grace of God, we will cruise to victory on Saturday and in the 2023 election.”
The group also congratulated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for his emergence as the APC presidential candidate, and praised Governor Kayode Fayemi for stepping down for him at the primary. It appealed to party members and supporters for a hitch-free and transparent election.
