Head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, José Peseiro has insisted that his team won’t beat Guinea-Bissau if they don’t give their maximum.

Peseiro’s men will on Friday evening face Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying fixture at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference in Abuja on Thursday, Peseiro said, “Guinea-Bissau was at the last AFCON. They currently have four points after beating São Tomé and drawing with Sierra Leone.

“They are a team with good quality. They will try to defend here and rely on a counterattack. But it’s now left for us to put our commitments into the game.

“There are no easy matches and if we don’t give our maximum, we won’t beat Guinea-Bissau.“

The kick-off time for the match is 5 pm.
