Some disgruntled presidential and senatorial candidates in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have vowed to punish the ruling party in 2023.
The disgruntled members accused the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and its National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, of isolating the party’s stakeholders.

A northern senator who spoke with the Sun claimed that Adamu, who was initially supported by lawmakers while governors in the party were opposed to him, eventually betrayed them during the primaries.

According to the lawmaker, Adamu runs the APC “like a sole administrator and paramount ruler,” refusing to listen to superior views from National Working Committee members (NWC).

The lawmaker went on to say that Tinubu has refused to reach out to disgruntled presidential aspirants since becoming the party’s flagbearer.

“As soon as the primaries were over, Tinubu visited all of the key aspirants,” he said. They have agreed to be involved before, during, and after the elections.

“I was present at one of the meetings where Tinubu told one of the former presidential candidates that he will play an active role.” That promise has proven to be false.

“Tinubu has since announced his choice of running mate without consulting any of them.” The candidates have also decided to disregard him.

“Tinubu and Adamu are hard at work organizing events.” They’re ignoring the real issue. They are acting as if they have won the elections. Members and stakeholders who are dissatisfied with them can go to hell.

“They believe that only governors and President Muhammadu will vote in their favor.” Unfortunately, many APC senators did not receive return tickets, leaving them without a stake in the upcoming elections. They’re not going to take it seriously. They’re counting on President Buhari not to campaign for anyone. Let’s see who will run grassroots campaigns for them.”
