Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Political activist Deji Adeyanju commented when former president Olusegun Obasanjo denied backing Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A suggestion that Tinubu will win in 2023 was given, according to Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, during the meeting between Obasanjo and Tinubu, according to Track News.

Nevertheless, in a statement released on Saturday by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo denied endorsing the APC presidential candidate.

The former president expressed his displeasure and asserted that the sources of the news were not in favor of the candidate and that the comment that was ascribed to him was fabricated.

Obasanjo expressed his irritation over what he thought was an unauthorized report of the exchange that he and Tinubu had during their private meeting.

Over the weekend, Adeyanju stated in a tweet that although Obasanjo claimed to support Tinubu, he was actually promoting Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate.

He asserted that the outgoing President hates Tinubu and believes that power will eventually shift to the South.

Adeynaju, however, characterized Tinubu’s visit to Obasanjo as political.

He stated, “NEWS: Obasanjo denies endorsing Tinubu.”

Baba Obasanjo, in my opinion, is supporting Obi because he believes that power should inevitably move to the south and because he despises Tinubu. The visit this week is all political.

NEWS: Obasanjo denies endorsing Tinubu.

ME: Baba Obasanjo is supporting Obi because he believes power should naturally go to the south and he can’t stand Tinubu. The whole visit this week is all politics.
