The Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation has slammed former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for comments on the 2023 election.
According to Tracknews , Atiku expressed confidence in winning the 2023 election during an interview.

The PDP presidential candidate, who admitted to being friends with Tinubu, stated that they disagree on politics.

He accused the former Lagos State Governor of pressuring him to run for President on a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2007.

Adebayo Shittu, Director-General of Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, told The PUNCH in response to Atiku’s interview that the outcome of the 2023 election would surprise the former Vice President.

He stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is working to defeat Atiku in his Adamawa State constituency, claiming that the former Vice President has done nothing for his state since entering politics.

“Talk is cheap,” Adebayo Shittu said. Tinubu will be there to greet him. Despite being from Adamawa, Atiku’s supporters will vote for Tinubu.

“When people ask me why I believe this, I tell them the evidence is plain to see.” What has Atiku done for Adamawa’s people since he became a politician?

“We in Tinubu’s camp have no fear, and we will not lose sleep over Atiku’s threat.” Our top priority in the North-East is to defeat him in his Adamawa constituency. Our victory in 2023 will be analogous to MKO Abiola’s election.”

Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Campaign Train’s Director of Media, added, “They are friends, and Tinubu wants to respond to him (Atiku) personally.” When Asiwaju responds to him personally tomorrow (Saturday), we will issue a statement.”
