2023: Investigate missing, stolen 24,682 ballot papers in Kano – Jaarfa Jaarfa to INEC

A Nigerian investigative journalist, Jaarfa Jaarfa, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to probe an alleged missing and stolen 24,682 ballot papers.

Jaarfa disclosed that the ballot papers were meant for Tofa/Rimingado/Dawakin Tofa Federal Constituency in Kano State.

His statement is contained in a post on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

According to the statement, some party agents had raised the alarm at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, collection centre when they noticed that two cartons were tampered with.

He wrote, “@inecnigeria kindly investigate missing/stolen 24,682 ballot papers meant for Tofa/Rimingado/Dawakin Tofa Federal Constituency in Kano. Some party agents raised the alarm at the CBN collection centre when they noticed that two cartons were tampered with.”
