Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,

The leading men of the Professor Yemi Osinbajo’s group have mounted pressure on the Vice President to decamp from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Recall that Osinbajo had earlier lost his bid of the 2023 general election to his political lord, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

Our sources under anonymity told our correspondent, Mr. Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed, that smart moves are being made to bring Osinbajo into the 2023 presidential struggle again.

The sources stressed further that there are suggestions regarding the possibility of an Osinbajo/Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ticket on the platform of the NNPP.

Track News Nigeria reports that Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of NNPP, is in talks with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, over a political alliance.

“One of the factors driving the push for an Osinbajo/Kwankwaso ticket is the need to give vent to what is clearly a nationwide yearning for a different kind of political leadership, something that the VP has come to represent to Nigerians,” one of the sources stated.

“On the other hand, Kwankwaso is known to be an accomplished grassroots politician in the North-West who can easily complement the VP”.
