The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has expressed concerns over the attack on monarchs in Ekiti State.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday, expressed uncertainty about the future existence of Nigeria and elections in 2023.

Adeboye, while wondering why politicians have started making preparations, noted that no one should be certain about the future, stressing that the future belonged to God.

The Overseer made this disclosure during the church monthly first Sunday telecast monitored by our correspondent.

He was speaking on the topic ‘The Great Expectations’.

According to Adeboye, it was unsafe for anyone to say his ambition is to become president when the individual is unsure about tomorrow or the existence of the country.

Adeboye said, “This is 2021 some people are already getting ready to kill themselves over 2023. They don’t even know whether there will be 2023, they don’t even know whether they will still be around. There is nobody here who can say for sure that he will still be around by tomorrow. It is God who determines who will still be around by 2023.”

“Someone said to me sir, who do you think will be president in 2023, I said the president of where? He said the president of Nigeria. How are you sure there will be Nigeria in 2023? how are you sure? can you swear? I pray there will be Nigeria, so you don’t misquote me. But are you sure?” he added.

While commenting on his expectation, the preacher said it is to see his members in great number in heaven, expressing confidence that they would be many, adding that a section would be earmarked for them.

He said, “My greatest expectation is that I will see you in heaven. The members of Redeemed will occupy a particular section that the angel will say you tried. Without holiness, there is no Heaven. Which Heaven are you going to?”

Adeboye, speaking about the consolation of those mourning, noted that it is easy for others to console the bereaved without feeling the impact.

The 79-year old preacher stressed that having lost a family member, he has a clearer picture of what it is to mourn.

“It is easy to say you will see the person again because I have tasted it. I have the experience,” he added.

Recall that the respected clergy lost his second son Dare to death on May 4, 2021.
