The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is being sued by the Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) for failing to uphold the provisions of the constitution that require the Commission to maintain voter registration for at least 90 days prior to elections.
In a lawsuit brought by plaintiffs Ikechukwu Ezechukwu, SAN & Co., the group said that ending the registration process would result in millions of Nigerians losing their right to vote in the 2023 elections.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in front of the Federal High Court in Abuja, the electoral authority is demanded to restart the Continuous Voter Registration process (CVR).

The following reliefs were requested by the plaintiffs in court:
