Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has denied mocking the Presidential candidate of the Labour party (LP), Peter Obi, over his presidential aspiration.

Some news platforms (Not Tracknews) had quoted the governor as saying that the LP will labour in vain and its presidential candidate cannot win the 2023 elections.

Soludo in a statement on Monday by his media aide, Christian Aburime, dismissed the report and said the statement credited to him is totally false and unfounded.

Aburime stated that the report was a total misrepresentation of Governor Soludo’s speech during his interaction with some audience after his 100 days in office media broadcast.

He added that report could best be described as an attempt by some misguided elements to cause disaffection between Peter Obi and the party leadership

Aburime, therefore, wishes to caution those wishing to cause mischief by publishing false and misleading stories to desist from doing so.

The spokesman also urged the public to kindly disregard the entire statement as it never emanated from Governor Soludo.
