Senator Emma Nwaka, a federal legislator at the Nigerian National Assembly, has berated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential flag-bearer the All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, over his choice of a Muslim as his running mate comes 2023 general elections.
Recall that TrackNews Nigeria had earlier reported how the former Lagos Governor confirmed Senator Shettima as his running mate following a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State on this Sunday.
In his bitter reaction, Nwaka described it as the peak of insensitivity and arrogantly personified, showing that the APC is not moving with the vogue.
As expressed by him, Tinubu’s choice has now made the 2023 presidential election ‘a two-horse race’ which would be between Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
He claimed that the Abiola/Kingigbe era cannot be re-enacted in Nigeria again.
Nwaka said: “I dare say that BAT’s pairing with a fellow Moslem for the presidency has upturned his ambition for good.”
” For me, it’s the height of insensitivity and hubris personified. It shows they’re not moving with the times.”
