A former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has spoken on the amount for the presidential nomination forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that Tracknews earlier reported that the APC had announced that its presidential forms would be sold for the sum of N100m while Senatorial and House of Rep positions would be going for N20m and N10m respectively.

The party’s NEC had also approved May 30 and June 1, for its special convention for the 2023 presidential primary election and May 18 for its governorship primaries.

Reacting in a tweet, Shehu Sani explained that money is the root of all evil.

He wrote, ”When you ask politicians why the nomination form is so expensive, they will say it’s to “drive away unserious ones”. Their prerequisite for “serious leadership aspirations” is money, That is the root of all problems.”

Meanwhile, the lawmaker representing Katsina North Senatorial District, Ahmad Babba Kaita, has dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Naija News learnt.

This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday through his media aide, Abdulkadir Lawal.

Kaita has immediately joined forces with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
