TRACKING____Former Governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba, on Tuesday, stated that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has the right to contest for president in 2023.
He said, “Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as an individual has the right to put himself forward, we have not zeroed in on an individual. Zeroing in on any individual will destroy our efforts now but Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has a right to pursue his own agenda.”

The APC chieftain stated this during a programme on TV on Tuesday.

Osoba called on the South-West to work together and put its home in order to achieve success in the next presidential election.

He further stated that the ruling party had agreed to shift power to the South in the forthcoming presidential election.

The APC chieftain, however, noted that though “there is so much noise from the East”, nobody has contacted him or other chieftains of the party to show interest in running for president in 2023.

“As an elder in the party, nobody from the South-East has contacted or consulted me to lobby, to even say they are interested,” Osoba stated.

Meanwhile, a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima, has revealed those that signed the All Progressives Congress (APC) power-sharing agreement.

Galadima, a leader of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), stated that at the formation of the APC, there was a zoning arrangement agreed upon by leaders of the party.

“Four people, two from the southwest, and two from the north reached that agreement. I know about this agreement from a reliable source,” he said.

“Those who sat and agreed upon this agreement were two former governors from the southwest, one serving governor from the north, and also another political gladiator from the north.”
