Governor David Umahi has warned against senseless killings of innocent citizens in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State by hoodlums allegedly loyal to opposition parties in the state.

Umahi made this known while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during the APC Local Government Rally in Isu, the Headquarters of Onicha Local Government Area

ā€œThe killings here must stop, you are vying for this or that does not mean you have to kill your brothers and sistersā€ warning that general curses will follow perpetrators of those killingsā€ he stated.

In a related development, Governor Umahi lifted the embargo on the enthronement of Traditional Rulers in Ebonyi Communities that have no traditional ruler.

He, however, directed the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy matters and Rural Development, Donatus Njoku to kickstart plans to ensure seamless exercises in the State.

Umahi assured the people of the area, that he would work hard to ensure the elevation of the Federal College of Education in Isu to a University if he is elected as Senator in the February National Assembly election.

Responding, the APC Governorship Flag-bearer, Francis Nwifuru pledged to accord the Onicha people a pride of place if elected Governor on March 11, Governorship election in the State.
