The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, arrived in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Thursday for the commissioning of the 9th flyover by the current administration.
Governor Nyesom Wike welcomed Obi and Baba-Ahmed and invited them to the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, and his running mate were also greeted enthusiastically by some of their supporters known as ‘Obidients.’
Wike, a PDP strongman, invited members of opposition political parties to the week-long Fourth Quarter 2022 Project Commissioning in the oil-rich South-South state.
Adams Oshiomhole, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dedicated the Rumuepirikom Flyover in Obio-Akpor on Wednesday.
In addition, APC President Muhammadu Buhari will dedicate the Nabo Graham Douglas Campus, Nigerian Law School, in Obio/Akpor on Friday, while the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, will dedicate a project next week.
