Federal Government applauds Bauchi for building 1,400 houses.
The Federal Government has commended the Bauchi state government for constructing 1,400 low-income housing units through the Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL).
The FHFL is a Federal Government Social Intervention Program that aims to provide affordable housing to low- and middle-income earners.
The board members were impressed with the project’s quality, according to Alhaji Suleiman Barau, Chairman of the FHFL Board.
“By constructing quality and affordable houses in Bauchi, Ningi, Missu, Dass, Katagum, and Jamaare emirates, the state government has done well.” The houses are visible, as is the quality; we are very impressed with the strong partnership.
“Bauchi is one of the states that has provided the best 90% finished houses,” he said.
He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s vision of providing decent and affordable housing to low-income Nigerians.
He also lauded the state governor, Bala Mohammed, for fostering an enabling environment and providing people with adequate housing.
The government, according to Hamisu Shira, Commissioner for Housing and Environment, is determined to provide housing for the people of the state. Shira said the houses would be finished by the end of December.
