NPFL: Three referees suspended over poor officiating
Three match officials have been suspended by the referees’ committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The officials were hammered following their poor performance in some Nigeria Premier Football League games this season.
Ndubuisi Ukah, a centre referee and Otuwho Morrison, an assistant referee were suspended for their poor handling of the matchday two encounter between Shooting Stars and Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Similarly, Faro Abdulrahman was suspended for his woeful performance in Tuesday night’s matchday three encounter between holders, Rivers United and Niger Tornadoes at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Abdulrahman disallowed a legitimate goal scored by the visitors in the game.
The three officials have been mandated to appear before the referee’s committee for explanation on what happened in the matches
