Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the south-south zone, Barr. Alabh George Turnah (MON) has congratulated the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their successful second term inauguration.
Turnah, who is a former Executive Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs and Social Orientation, stated that Diri’s triumph in the November 11, 2023 guber re-election is a collective victory for all Bayelsans.
The congratulatory message was issued on Saturday through his media aide, Mr. Kelvin Loveday Egbo.
Turnah highlighted Diri’s remarkable development initiatives and cited completed and ongoing projects across the state, including the three senatorial road projects.
“These endeavours,” the statement notes, “reflect the governor’s commitment to transforming Bayelsa into a global destination and bringing development to even the most remote villages.
“I am unwaveringly confident in Diri’s ability to achieve more, particularly in the realms of human capital and infrastructural development.”
He commended the governor’s focus on nurturing young, dynamic leaders and showcasing a dedication to fostering the excellence of young people in governance.
Turnah further admonished Bayelsans, irrespective of political affiliations, to “unite in supporting Diri as he embarks on the journey of prosperity for everyone.”
