Chidinma Ojukwu, Might Not Be The Only Suspect In The Death Of Supper TV CEO (Read Details)
Sources have it that the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, July 14, said it has arrested more suspects in the murder of Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, as an “afterthought”.
Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, said it has also established a “conspiracy” in the circumstances of the killing of Ataga.
Odumosu said the slain Ataga was said to be drugged before he was killed.
He also denied the claims that the police were trying to create a soft landing for the suspect, Chidinma.
Odumosu said:-
“We have established a case of conspiracy in the murder and we have arrested more suspects.”
The police commissioner did not disclose who the suspects are or how many of them have been arrested. He said investigation is ongoing in the matter.
Mr Ataga, 50, was found dead at an apartment in Lekki Lagos on the evening of June 15.
Following an investigation, the police arrested Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300-level mass communication student at the University of Lagos, as the prime suspect in the matter.
The suspect, who said she was in a romantic relationship with the murdered CEO, was alleged to have stabbed him multiple times in the apartment they were both lodged, leading to his death.
