METRO: Lagos Police Nabs One Over Clash In Oyingbo

The Lagos State Police Command have apprehended one person suspected to be linked to the recent clash that happened on Friday at Oyingbo area of the state.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Spokesperson of the Police, confirmed this to Track News Nigeria today, adding that the riot by some suspected street thugs was brought under control by Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) as led by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi and men from the Denton Police Division.
“One suspect, aged 40, (name withheld) of Cole Street, Ebutte Metta was arrested. We don’t have report of any death in the clash.
He added: “Several bags of assorted hard drugs were also recovered.”
Hundeyin assured that patrol teams had been stationed around the area to avert recurrence, saying that investigations have been set on sail to arrest the rest of the miscreants.
When asked, he noted that the suspect and exhibits would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further scrutiny.
