You’ll finish bottom ten in Premier League if Ronaldo leaves – Neville warns Man United
Adeleye Kunle Reports
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has warned that if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves, the Red Devils will finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table this season, TrackNews reports.
If the Portuguese are allowed to leave, he believes United must be able to replace them with quality players.
United’s start to the season has been frustrating, with defeats at home and away to lowly rated sides Brighton and Brentford.
Brentford thrashed the Red Devils 4-0 on Saturday, following a 2-1 loss to Brighton on the opening day.
“I think they’re damned if they do [let him go] and damned if they don’t,” Neville said on TrackNews
“The issue now is that if they lose him, there is nothing left in terms of goal-scoring.”
“I genuinely believe they have a chance to finish in the bottom half of the table.” If Manchester United does not sign quality players in the next few weeks, I believe the club will be relegated to the bottom half of the table.
