Four lecturers with the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State have been relieved of their jobs over alleged misconduct.

Though there were not much details on the lecturer’s offences, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Edward Aihevba, however, noted in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday that the lecturers were dismissed for gross misconduct.

www.tracknews.ng understands the university management had acted upon the recommendation of a Special Intervention Team which considered a report of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee.

The team at an emergency meeting held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, concluded that the lecturers be sacked.

The names of the lectures were not made public yet, www.tracknews.ng reports.

In other news, controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has opened up on being sexually molested by a male lecturer in the university.

Maduagwu took to his Instagram account to reveal how his lecturer took advantage of him in his office. He stated that the incident occurred twice, once in 100l and also in 200l.

The popular Nollywood actor stressed the importance of CCTV cameras in university to keep students safe.

He wrote: “Any time I remember how He pull down my #underwear in his office tears roll down my eyes, it is painful and horrible an experience. I dey speak out now because I #feel my popularity will help expose this menace and also give undergraduates going through this a voice. #Nigerian Lecturers are the #BEST in #Africa but some are a disgrace to our shared beliefs and culture”

Maduagwu is known for his unusual personality especially in his reaction to trending situations.

The actor had recently visited a thrift store where women under wears are sold and proceeded to put some brasserie around his neck while shouting “Justice for Sylvester” about the recently murdered 12-year-old boy.
