Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged party members to do everything possible before elections to ensure victory.
He made the submission while emphasizing the importance of reconciling all aggrieved stakeholders and ensuring the APC enters the 2023 general elections with a united front.

Adamu made the point during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, shortly after launching an eight-member Abia Reconciliation Committee.

He stated that now is the time to work and get the house in order so that the team can work together to win the upcoming general elections in 2023.
In his words, “We’ve to do some work and forget some of the prejudices and stand together.

“We don’t want anybody to come here after the elections and start crying and laying blame on us for our failures.

“I will not listen to that, this is the time to unite, this is the time to work for unity, if we do, God will be with us.”

Politics Should Be Local
After inaugurating the reconciliatory committee, Adamu pointed out that it is left to the party leaders in Abia State to ensure things work out.

Adamu said Abuja is not Abia.

He said: “We aren’t going to hold reconciliation meetings again. We will now leave it to the leaders of the party in Abia to play their politics in the state.

“Abuja isn’t about Abia, go to Abia and play politics there, do the necessary lobbying and reconciliation there because all politics is local.

“Abuja isn’t Abia locality. Abuja is the Federal Capital Territory. We converged here from various states. Let Abia go and work together.”

APC Must Win Big
The APC National Chairman stressed that the party won’t be satisfied with just 25 percent of votes but must record resounding victory in every state.

“All the national elections, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, likely the presidential election, we’ll not be satisfied with just the 25 percent of votes cast.

“No halfway through it, if we’re to win, we must try to win every state,” Adamu stressed.
