Mohammed O. Taoheed reports,

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has disclosed on Friday that it has cancelled the broadcast licences of Africa Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM, Silverbird television, and Rhythm FM among others.

Track News Nigeria gathered that the legal authority made this decision due to the inability of the media houses to renew their broadcast licences.

Speaking with Mallam Balarabe Shehu, the Director General (DG) of the NBC, he directed its state offices to work with security officers to make certain that the stations are shut down within the next 24 hours.
