Aisha Buhari, the First Lady of the country, took Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the incoming First Lady, on a tour of the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
TRACKNEWS reports that during the visit, Buhari showed Tinubu around some key areas of the official residence of the Presidential family in Aso Rock.
Mrs. Buhari said: ”the highly secured residential area of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is strictly to serve as an accommodation for the President and members of the family.”
Buhari explained to Tinubu that the Glass House in the villa serves as a transitional home for the first family.
She further stated that the Glass House is specifically meant for presidents during a transition period, as it serves as a transit accommodation for outgoing presidents to pave way for necessary renovations on the main house for the incoming President and his family.
Mrs. Tinubu expressed appreciation to the First Lady for the warm reception accorded to her and promised to work tirelessly for the benefit of all Nigerians.
However, reports indicate that newsmen were not allowed access to some parts of the building during the tour.
