The group, which accused the Upper Chamber to have lied it didn’t receive any formal petition from any quarter, including the group, to necessitate it handling an allegation of criminal record levelled against the DSP, went further to accuse Omo-Agege of sponsoring petitioners in his recent case in a High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja, which delivered a judgement exonerating the DSP of the alleged conviction.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Co-convener of the group, Danesi Prince, who insisted that Omo-Agege was both the petitioner and accused in the case that exonerated him, vowed to press ahead to institute a legal action against him if the legislature fails to act as appropriate by law, He said: “Today, we are saddened that we have been mistaken in our position concerning Senator Augustine Ovie Omo-Agege
