Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, yesterday declared that desperate efforts by his political adversaries to turn President Muhammadu Buhari against him will fail. Amosun, who spoke at Kajola ward in Obafemi- Owode Local Government Area in continuation of his senatorial campaign for Ogun Central zone, also stated that nobody can turn him against the president.
The governor, who is seeking return to the Senate on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke against the backdrop of the crisis rocking the party in the state.
According to him, all the orchestrated moves against his person and political interests would amount to exercise in futility. “All what they are doing is to turn President Buhari against me. Nobody can turn President Buhari against me. It is impossible,” he said.
Amosun expressed dismay that it was when the state had started to witness fast pace of development that some people are now trying to disrupt its peace. He called on people of the state to resist with their votes any attempt by “foreigners” to enslave them, stressing that they should vote for the candidates they know.
