Adeleye Kunle Reports

Anthony Joshua, the British boxer, has denied reports that he will retire if he loses his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday, TrackNews reports

Joshua has stated that he will continue fighting even if he is unable to reclaim his world heavyweight titles from the Ukrainian.

“I respect people’s opinions,” the 32-year-old said. But I refuse to retire.

“I’ve got one of the biggest fights of my life coming up, and if you were thinking about retiring, you’d have a lot of doubts.”

“People will always ask the question, but I want to go on.” It’s fantastic.

“If I was losing to a bygone era, then yes.” But talking about retiring is ridiculous because I lost to one of the best fighters in the world. What kind of crap is that?”

Usyk defeated Joshua for the first time via unanimous decision.
