Anthony Taylor should be banned from refereeing Chelsea – Tuchel breaks silence

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel believes that referee Anthony Taylor should never again officiate his team, TrackNews reports.

Tuchel and his Tottenham Hotspur counterpart, Antonio Conte, were both sent off after the final whistle following their second clash of the afternoon.

However, the Blues’ manager was enraged that Kai Havertz was not given a free kick in the build-up to Tottenham’s first goal.

Cristian Romero was also not punished for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair in injury time, with VAR ruling out a red card. Harry Kane snatched the draw from the following corner.

Chelsea fans have long suspected Taylor of having a vendetta against the Blues following a string of decisions against them in previous games.

Tuchel responded, “Perhaps it would be better if Taylor never refereed Chelsea again.”

“But, to be honest, we have VAR to help us make the right decisions.” Since when can players have their hair pulled? When did that happen? And I don’t blame him if he doesn’t see it.

“I didn’t see it, but we have VAR who check this, and then you see it, and how can this not be a free-kick and a red card?” How?

“In this case, the referee has nothing to do with it. If he doesn’t see something, that’s why we have people checking to see if there’s a critical error going on.
