TRACKING___The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state has published all the particulars of six governorship aspirants getting ready for party screening in the next few days in preparation for the forthcoming primary election of June 22 where the Party’s flagbearer would be elected, Vanguard has reported.

According to Vanguard, the particulars published included that of Godwin Obaseki, Pastor Patrick Ize-Iyamu and the remaining four aspirants. But notable among the particulars published today is the O’ level results of the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki which has started generating ripples among Nigerians.

In his 1973 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) certificate submitted for screening, Obaseki scored as follows: English P7, Literature P7, CRK C6, History A3, Geography C6 and Chemistry P8. There was no Mathematics or Arithmetic in the certificate.

This implies that Obaseki performed woefully with just an ordinary Pass in English and Mathematics missing from the result, meaning he failed Mathematics.

For everyone who is conversant with the procedure of WAEC as the body is called, Mathematics is a compulsory subject that every applicants in Nigeria must register for when sitting for the exam. The only thing that may make Mathematics miss from your original certificate is when you scored an F9 in the subject. This is the standard in any WAEC certificate in Nigeria, as it is in the habit of the exam body to exclude every subjects failed from the certificate. With this, it means Obaseki failed Mathematics when he sat for the exam.

Nigerians have therefore started wondering how the sitting governor managed to go to the University without the necessary O’ level prerequisites. This is strange and only possible in Nigeria. And it has got people talking across the country.

Below is the picture of the result as published by the party.
