The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the screening of all the presidential aspirants indefinitely.

Tracknews reports that the screening was scheduled to take place on Monday, May 23.

The postponement was made known in a statement to newsmen on Sunday by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka.

According to Morka, a new date for the screening exercise would be announced by the party.

He however did not give a reason for the alteration of its timetable.

According to him, “The Screening Exercise for Presidential Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to be held on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, is hereby postponed.

“A new date for the exercise will be announced shortly. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”

Tracknews reports that the APC has consistently violated its own timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 general election.

Those affected by the postponement includes: APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State; Senator Ajayi Boroffice; former Minister of Education State, Emeka Nwajuiba; Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Pastor Tunde Bakare and many others.
