Four Governors in the northern region of Nigeria have received worried warnings about the continued activities of bandit terrorists in their states.

The Governors are Bello Matawalle of Zamfara, Aminu Masari of Katsina, Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna

The convener of the Concerned Nigerians Movement, Deji Adeyanju who sounded the note of warning, alleged that the Governors have been too lenient with President Muhammadu Buhari’s dealings with the bandits.

He further accused the president of pampering the bandits.

To this end, he suggested the bandits are getting emboldened in carrying out their criminal activities in the identified states.

Adeyanju on Tuesday, wrote on Twitter; “Bandits may soon abduct Zamfara, Katsina, Niger & Kaduna governors if they continue to praise Buhari as he pampers terrorists. Call out Buhari the failed Commander-in-Chief.”

Naija News reports that in Katsina State alone, there have been three reported cases of high-profile kidnaps in the last week.

First, bandit terrorists abducted Kabir Muhammad Inuwa, a brother to the Secretary to the Katsina State Government (SSG), Mustapha Inuwa.

It was gathered that Kabir was abducted on Wednesday when the gunmen attacked his farm in a village called Daftau, in Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.

Then in a worrying development, bandits have abducted the younger sister of the Deputy Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Shehu Tafoki.

The victim, identified as Asma’u Dalhatu was said to be preparing for her wedding ceremony before she was kidnapped on Sunday, 5th September.

She was abducted from the residence of the village head which is her family house around 1am on Sunday.

And again, the terrorists on Monday abducted a retired Nigeria Broadcasting Commission, NBC, director, Alhaji Ahmed Bakori, and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila.

Meanwhile, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has stated that with hindsight, he wouldn’t have granted amnesty to bandits some years back.

He stated this while speaking during an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.

According to Masari, with the recent activities of bandits and information now at his disposal, he wouldn’t have granted them amnesty.

He however stated that he doesn’t regret his action but previous efforts in 2016 and 2019 have obviously not yielded the expected positive result.
