Report reaching TrackNews Online indicates that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru is set to visit Dikwa town amid the current attack.

Sources within the Army revealed that soldiers have been preparing to retake Dikwa since yesterday after they tactically withdrew from the town.

According to the sources, with the Chief of Army staff preparing to lead the war himself, the spirit of the soldiers are lifted and they are now battle ready, as well as singing war songs.
