Former Arsenal youth team player, Jay Bothroyd, has sent a clear message to forward Bukayo Saka that he would be considered for the Ballon d’Or award if he played for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Saka, 21, has been one of the most impressive players in the Premier League so far this season.
The England international has been a key member of Mikel Arteta’s team.
However, Bothroyd believes that Saka does not get enough credit because he plays for Arsenal.
“Saka is one of the best wingers in the world. Let’s get it right,” Bothroyd told Sky Sports, as quoted by the Sport Bible.
“He doesn’t get enough praise. If he was playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona, he would be up for Ballon d’Or awards.”
