TRACKING>>The indefatigable crime buster and Chairman Bayelsa State Volunteers, Hon. Lucky Oyinkuro Asanakpo has congratulated Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah the newly elected Rt. Honorable Speaker of the 6th Bayelsa State House of Assembly during its inaugural sitting held yesterday at the Assembly complex.
In a brief congratulatory message to the speaker, the Chairman extoled the virtues of integrity, diligence and uprightness exhibited by Hon. Isenah. The astute young man, he said, rightly deserve his new elevation given his enviable track record as a lawmaker.
He observed that the emergence of Hon. Isenah as the speaker did not come as a surprise owing to the fact that the speaker is one of the most vibrant and articulate young men whose positive impact can not be dismissed with a wave of hand.
The Rt. Honorable Speaker has shown that he can be trusted with higher responsibilities having discharged his assignment with a high sense of loyalty and patriotism.
Hon. Lucky Asanakpo has advised members of the state house of assembly to close rank and cooperate with the speaker instead of engaging in untoward acts to polarise the assembly along ethnic lines.
Also, the Chairman admonished the new leadership to be transparent and accountable in all their dealings with the executive so as to foster peace and order in the polity.
He stated further that the primary interest of the people should be the guiding principles to determine whatever decisions are taken in the hallow chambers.
The chairman said, members should adopt a bridge building mechanisms in resolving disputes with the executive and avoid confrontational approach in resolving crises.
Honorable Isenah, the chairman opined, deserve the support and encouragement of all well meaning citizens, to enable the new team succeed in their legislative and oversight functions.
