Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Senator Dino Melaye, a former Kogi Central lawmaker, claimed that Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, elevated Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, to national prominence.
Melaye claimed that when he chose Obi as his running mate in the 2019 presidential election, Obi discovered him and elevated him to national prominence.

He made the remarks on Saturday evening in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, during Atiku’s public declaration and induction into the Diamond Ladies in Politics.

The former lawmaker described Atiku as a talent scout, claiming that Atiku identified the former Anambra governor before his social media supporters.

“Obi is a fantastic Nigerian,” he said, “but he was unknown nationally until Atiku identified him.” Atiku works as a talent scout. Between 1999 and today, Atiku discovered every reformer in this country.

“Obi was discovered by Atiku before the keyboard warriors.” Regrettably, elections will not take place on social media.

“It will happen at polling places.” Those who intend to vote are also present. As a result, the operation votes must now be tallied.”

Diamond Ladies in Politics convener Maimunat Wada has pledged to mobilize at least two million votes for the PDP in the presidential election.

“There would be inclusiveness of Nigerians regardless of tribal and religious affiliations with Atiku Abubakar on the saddle of leadership of the country,” she said.

“Atiku’s choice of His Excellency Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, his diverse business partners, investments throughout the country, and even the ethnic backgrounds of his spouses are clear evidence that he would be a true Nigerian president.”
