ABUJA__The former Governor Elect of Bayelsa State in the November 2019 elections, His Excellency, Chief David Pereworomini Lyon and an aspirant for the Bayelsa State Governorship seat, has cleared the opening obstacle in the contest.
The APC screening committee on Saturday March 25, 2023 in Abuja cleared Lyon and he was asked to take a bow and leave.
Recall that Lyon served as the Deputy Director, Contact and Mobilization South South Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council APC-PCC and Chairman Elders Advisory Council, Bayelsa Central Senatorial District.
He had earlier picked the nomination form at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Federal Capital of Nigeria, amidst cheers and ovation
