––Urges Youths to Support Gov. Douye Diri

TRACKING____Bayelsa foremost activist and former General Manager of Radio Bayelsa Dr. John Idumange has said governance requires total concentration on the part of the role incumbent and advised the opposition parties to embrace good governance rather than unnecessary litigations that will further divide the State. He stated this when a group of PDP loyalists and social media influencers paid him a “thank you” visit in Yenagoa. Thanked the youths to live by certain ideals and abiding principles, asserting that the defining moment of any leader at any level is to stand on the path of truth and public interest rather than peddle falsehood and push a petty, parochial interest. He urged the youths to contribute their quota to the good governance of the State and reiterated that the role of youths in our growing democracy cannot be taken for granted. He urged the youths to support the Douye Diri Administration.Responding, Mr. Kokobaiye Abeki said Bayelsa youths are proud of Dr . Idumange not only as the founding father of Bayelsa New Media but as a good leader who stood by the leaders of the State in pursuit of the public good. He disclosed that the youths will give unflinching support to Governor Douye Diri, adding that political gladiators on the other side of the divide should join hands with the government in power to move the State forward. “You are a good leader who has used his office to positively affect the youths of Bayelsa State and we shall follow your scintillating example in leadership” he remarked.Abeki used the opportunity to thank Governor Douye Diri for the recent appointments given some social media influencers to promote the policies and programmes of government and urged stakeholders to support the present administration.
