Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Benue State Chapter, Rev. Akpen Leva, on Saturday, reminded the people in the state that the killer herdsmen have not stopped their unprovoked attacks on the people of the state.

Track News recalls that suspected terrorists had on Thursday last week, killed 15 people in the Logo Local Government Area of the state.

Reacting in a statement on Saturday, Akpen Leva, through his Director of Media, Samuel Tyav, warned residents in the state not to sleep with their two eyes closed since dare devil terrorists are not ready to give them a breathing space.

He said this is not the time for the people to sleep with both eyes closed as armed herdsmen terrorists have not stopped their unprovoked attacks on people of the state. He added that there is simply a calculated attempt aimed at killing the defenseless people of the communities.

He urged the people of the state to look for legitimate means of protecting and defending themselves under such circumstances.

While condemning the unprovoked attacks and loss of lives in the affected communities, he admonished security operatives to rise up and arrest the bloodthirsty herdsmen to face the full wrath of the law
