Boavista celebrate Onyemaechi’s maiden Super Eagles invitation

Portuguese club, Boavista have celebrated Bruno Onyemaechi’s invitation for Nigeria’s friendly against Portugal.

The 23-year-old was named in Nigeria’s squad for the highly-anticipated friendly by head coach, Jose Peseiro on Friday.

It was Onyemaechi’s maiden invitation to the Super Eagles. The player moved to Boavista on loan from CD Feirense last summer.

“BRUNO IN…Bruno Onyemaechi makes his debut for the Nigeria national team,” reads a tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle.

Onyemaechi, who can play as a left-back and central defender has made nine league appearances for Boavista this season
