The former Attorney General and commissioner for Justice in Cross River State under Mr Donald Duke’s tenure, Barrister Attah Ochinke, has described his alleged loss at the just-concluded Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency re-run election as a game of musical chair.

It would be recalled that Ochinke had earlier won the primary election held on 23 May 2022 but the court reversed it and ordered for the re-run.

But the former AG in a statement in his social media pages said: “The rerun was conducted pending my appeal against that judgment. It is my intention, and right, to see the judicial process to a logical conclusion.”

Mr Abang Pius was declared winner of the rerun primaries of the PDP for Boki/Ikom Federal constituency.

Ochinke, however, commended his supporters, delegates and non delegates alike, who remained steadfast in their support for the collective cause.for which he sought to run for office.

“For now the musical chairs for the PDP ticket in our federal constituency are still in motion, so let the music play.

“I encourage my supporters to remain calm; the task of delivering PDP in the coming general elections remains our ultimate purpose.

“The confidences and new relationships we have developed during this race shall be cherished in the years ahead
