Boniface Undergoes Successful Surgery

Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed Victor Boniface has undergone successful surgery.

Boniface sustained the injury during a training session with Nigeria.

“Victor #Boniface was successfully operated on today in Berlin,” reads a statement on the club’s X handle.

“The striker will return to Leverkusen later this week to start his rehabilitation process.”

The 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined till April 2024.

He has been replaced in Nigeria’s squad for AFCON 2023 by OGC Nice of France star, Terem Moffi.
