TRACKING____The Bayelsa State election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Charles Daniel as the winner of Brass Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly election held on 9th March, 2019.

In a jugdement delivered by the Chairman of the tribunal, Justice M. I. Sirajo, the tribunal held that the petitioner failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the case brought before it, adding that INEC’s result declaration remains valid.

On his part, Hon. Charles commended the tribunal for their transparency in delivering this judgement, adding that the judgement is a victory for the good people of Brass Constituency 1, who showed their love for him by coming out en masse to vote for the All Progressives Congress ( APC).

His words: ” Today, we have been vindicated by the judgement of this honourable tribunal. This judgement has justified the love and
commitment of our people in voting for our party. We are grateful to God for making this day a remarkable one.

“I, therefore, call on our political contestants to sheath their sword and join us in developing our constituency”.

He further used the opportunity to reaffirm his passion and resolve to deliver good governance for the upliftment of the
socioeconomic life of his constituents.
