Breaking: Atiku in early lead in five LGs in Delta

TRACKING>>ASABA – THE Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the announcement of local government area results for the last Saturday presidential election in Delta State.

Announcing the results from five local governments out of the 25 local governments in the State, INEC said the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, polled 14, 681 votes in Ukwani local government against President Mohammadu Buhari’s 4,552 votes.

While Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had 29,331 votes in Ika North East local government, President Mohammadu Buhari had 5,265 votes. In Patani Local government, PDP won with 17,028 against APC’s 4,789.

Also in Aniocha North Local Government, PDP led with 12,996 and APC, 3,674 as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar polled 19,700 and President Mohammadu Buhari had 1,960 in Oshimili North Local Government.

Meanwhile, INEC has adjourned further announcement of presidential election results till noon today.
