TRACKING_____The deadly Coronavirus disease has killed two more Nigerians, with Lagos cases surpassing 100 mark to set a record in the country.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, reports late Friday night that the two new deaths were recorded in Lagos and Edo States, bringing the total figure of those who have so far died of the disease in Nigeria to four.

The NCDC also recorded 11 new cases of Coronavirus in Lagos, taking its toll to 109, while Edo, which previously had four cases now have seven cases with three new addition.

So far, Lagos has discharged 24 Coronavirus patients and recorded one death, while the active cases in the state now stood at 84.

Earlier on Friday, the government said four more Coronavirus patients, including an eight-week-old baby, were discharged after they tested negative twice.

The state government had on Thursday discharged 11 Coronavirus patients, after having discharged nine people earlier.

Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed that there were three female and one male, saying that one of the female was an eight-week-old baby.

Abayomi said the state was currently tracing 2,450 contacts of infected patients.

The commissioner added that the Coronavirus cases being handled in the state were mild except for two patients who had moderate to severe issues, but noted that their cases had not reached a point where they need ventilators.

With the release by NCDC on Friday night, it is believed that one of the two critically ill victims might have died.
