The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, has been disowned by his family members.
In a statement obtained by TrackNews Online, the Igbokwe Royal Family of Nnewi condemned the unpatriotic, Igbo-hating and self-serving political actions of Joe Igbokwe, who was recently seen celebrating the arrest of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
According to the family, the action of Joe Igbokwe who is a chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, debase the family’s proud history and heritage.
Johnny Madukaejiaka Oforjebeogu Igbokwe who signed the press release on behalf of the family members noted that the actions of Joe Igbokwe does not represent the views of our family, cautioning the public to desist from equating these condemnable actions of their son as a representative of the views of the collective Igbokwe Royal Family.
Part of the press release reads;
