BREAKING: Imo INEC Headquarters Fears Gunmen Attack
On Monday morning, security agents foiled an attempt to wreak havoc on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) facility in Owerri, Imo State’s capital.
According to Track News, some unknown gunmen attempted to attack the electoral body office headquarters on Port-Harcourt road in the early hours of today.
According to reports, the assailants were met with fierce resistance from the Nigeria Police Force officers stationed at the facility before reinforcements could arrive.
“They were numerous, we heard several gunshots, we were terrified, but the police did not allow them this time,” a source told the Daily Sun.
