BREAKING: Oborududu wins Gold for Nigeria in wrestling

Wrestler Blessing Oborududu has won Team Nigeria’s second gold medal of Day 8 of the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, The TrackNews reports.

Oborududu defeated Linda Morais in the 68kg women’s category final.

Her victory came hours after compatriots Odunayo Adekuoroye won the country’s sixth gold medal at the event also in the wrestling event.

Oborududu is now a two-time Commonwealth Games Champion after also claiming gold at the 2018 edition of the event.

The medal feat means Team Nigeria has won seven gold, two silvers and six bronze medals.
